Technology Enabled Girls Alliance

The Technology Enabled Girls’ Alliance (TEGA) program aims to bridge the digital divide and combat gender disparities. Targeting adolescent girls and young women aged 14-30 from marginalized communities, TEGA provides essential digital skills through a comprehensive curriculum that includes digital literacy, cybercrime awareness, women’s rights, and financial literacy. The program empowers participants to become informed digital citizens who can challenge traditional gender norms and advocate for their rights. Since its inception, TEGA has successfully trained over 3,500 girls, fostering a generation of confident young women poised to drive social change.

  • Initiatives under TEGA:
Computer learning curriculum adopting Gender transformative Approach – “Digital Kishori Bane Saksham” with the certification of RS-CIT; NIIT
  • Mobile Phone learning “Each one teach Ten” curriculum through peer master trainers
  • Tech Sakhi – Badlaav ki Awaaz: Four months comprehensive course on Photography & Filmmaking. Known as “Digital Sakhis,” these young advocates, many of whom have been directly affected by ECFM, are driving social change within their communities.

Championing Change: TEGA has transformed the lives of 3500 participants by enhancing their digital literacy and critical thinking skills, with more than 800 girls in jobs. Many graduates have secured jobs in the digital sector or are motivated to continue their leadership journeys. By integrating lessons on women’s rights and financial literacy, TEGA empowers girls to reclaim their agency and challenge societal norms that perpetuate gender inequality.
